Community Health Grants
The deadline for Application Initiation for FY17 Community Grants has passed.
Please consider a Small Grant if appropriate.
Komen Lowcountry funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment support projects for the medically underserved in 17 SC counties. Applicants must be non-profits assisting with reducing the barriers to care in our most vulnerable populations as noted in the 2015 Community Profile.
Our Community Grants are selected through a highly competitive, peer-reviewed process. Grant training workshops are held in the fall for all prospective applicants. Attending the workshop is a requirement of the application process.
The grant application process is competitive. Whether or not an organization has received a grant in the past, funding in subsequent years is never guaranteed. Funding depends upon the quality of the current application, the quality of the applicant pool, the funds available for distribution, and the counties served.
